Are this shoes good for skateboarding and which deck would be best for me?

If your under over 10 years old you have the reflexes not to land on your head. And you dont reeeaaaally need pads unless you go to a skateboard. worry about that stuff later. What you want to do is go to your local SKATESHOP (NOT wal-mart, target, K-mart ETC). Go get a premade board there that is fairly cheap and start riding around on your driveway for awhile. Once you get the hang of things like with pushing your board, and manueling you can start with simple tricks like the ollie. The absolute best way to get better is to skate with a friend, you can always learn from each other. Pre-made boards are around 80 dollars I think. Have fun! I've been skating for about 3 years now
