Do you think what happend in the arab world, can happen in the western world too ?

A long time ago women in eastern countries had a similiar status like women in western countries today. To make a long story short, the arab world got fed up with the way "liberated" women behaved and stripped them of all rights, even dehumanizing them. Do you think something similiar could happen in the west too in the long run ?
