Do you think that Muslim religious leaders are doing enough to deter Muslim people from terrorism?

Should they voice their stand on Islam and terrorism more clearly and distance themselves from the atrocities undermining their religion? Do you think that this may be the path to go on and (if yes) what could be done to encourage this process?
