Dinosaurs extincted because of meteor?

Well scholars Believe that the Dinosaurs were killed by a meteorites because the explosion killed most dinosaurs were it hit in the surrounding area and there was a giant dust cloud that blocked the sun that killed most of the plants. The plants were all consumed and the dinosaurs starved to death. In the water it doesn't effect as much as land because all the fish had to do was swim deeper in waters were shrimps were feeding on the wastes of the earth while the birds did not need to eat as much so they only need to fly in the sky for water and when the dust settled the seeds started to grow again because seeds need the right conditions to grow. i hope your happy with this information
