Isn't getting rid of "partisan rancor" an unrealistic goal for McCain?
It is unrealistic because in almost everyone situation someone will lose. If gay marriage is defeated, gay people and their supporters lose. If gay marriage is legalized, Christian people get upset that gay people have equal rights. If illegal immigrants are deported, Mexicans get mad. If illegal immigrants are allowed to stick around and cost taxpayers money, Americans get mad. Not everyone can win and I think it's ridiculous that the nominee of the current fascist party of America really believes he can get rid of partisan rancor when he pushes his party's intolerant agenda on the people who don't want to hear what "your God" feels about gay people, abortion, and stem cell research. Then again, they probably think I'm a godless baby-killer for saying those things. See, like I said, it'll never end because someone is always unhappy.
