What is a good offroad tire for a 91 ford ranger?

i am in high school and i want to go offroadin but the tires that i have on my truck are no good. i dont want to have to buy a lift kit so i wnat to know the biggest tire i can put on the truck with out gettin new rims. right now the tires are stock and so are the rims
